Another book landing on a The Lesbian Review’s favorite book list is Justice Calls, by Ann Roberts. Debut writer Carolyn Elizabeth scored herself two thumbs up from April at The Lesbian Review for her debut novel, Gallows Humor, the first book in the Corey Curtis and Thayer Reynolds romantic thriller series. “If you’re looking for a story that will keep you on the edge of your seat and have you doubled over with laughter, then this is definitely the story for you!”

Lex Kent at Goodreads had great things to say about Bette Hawkins‘ new historical romance, In My Heart. “If you are looking for a historic-fiction-romance, especially one that is more on the feel good side, I would recommend this one. Hawkins has become an automatic read for me so I can’t wait to see what she puts out next.”

Lex Kent enjoyed Virginia Hale‘s The Secret Chord, a July new release. “It did not take long for this book to grab me and after it did, it did not want to let me go. The way Hale writes is impressive and just really works for me.”
