Fragrances that your favorite lesbian & bi TV and film characters might wear

Everyone loves to smell good, and I don’t know about you, but I like to start the new year off with a new fragrance. But there are so many options, it can seem overwhelming: citrus, fruity, woodsy, musky, where does one begin? So to help you out, like the scent-centric lesbian I am, here are some scents that your favorite lesbian and bi TV characters might wear this season. (Since we don’t actually know what these characters smell like, the notes are listed based on their personality traits and some good old fashioned guessing. Call it fragrance fanfiction!)

Maggie Sawyer (Supergirl)

Notes: leather, fresh apples, spring flowers, sunshine

Perfume: Peony and Blush Suede by Jo Malone

Jo Malone knows how to make combinations of scents sing, and this floral/leather scent just has the right harmony for Maggie.

Alex Danvers (Supergirl)

Notes: citrus, juniper, bergamot, freshly cut grass

Perfume: Maison Margiela Replica “Flying”

This perfume house is making some wonderful thematic scents, and this has the right combination of bright and mellow for Alex.

Kat Edison (The Bold Type)

Notes: honey, paperbacks, peony, orange blossom

Perfume: Chanel Cocoa Mademoiselle.

This fragrance is a true classic, but has a playfulness about it perfect for any age.

Carmilla Karnstein (Carmilla)

Notes: rose, black currants, vanilla, earth tincture

Perfume: Dead Sexy by Tokyo Milk

Tokyo Milk makes some killer fragrances, and this one has Carmilla written all over it.

Laura Hollis (Carmilla)

Notes: coffee, sweet cream, gardenia, spun sugar

Perfume: Chocolate Chip Cookie by Demeter

Sweet and light, this whimsical fragrance would work perfectly for Laura, or you too for that matter.

Rosa Diaz (Brookly Nine-Nine)

Notes: pepper, fennel, gun powder, sugared almonds

Perfume: Angel by Thierry Mugler

A modern classic, this scent is like a warm slice of cake with something much deeper underneath.

Nicole Haught (Wynonna Earp)

Notes: bergamot, lotion, cedar, tonka bean

Perfume: Bulletproof by Tokyo Milk

Yes, Nicole might be bulletproof, but this warm and welcoming fragrance would suit her no matter the name.

Waverly Earp (Wynonna Earp)

Notes: sake, berries, strawberry leaf, rose hips

Perfume: Wild Strawberry and Parsley by Jo Malone

Fresh and sweet, this will make it feel like spring even during the cold Alberta winter.
