Five good (and gay) things that happened this week: 6/9-6/15

Happy Friday! Summer is less than a week away but here’s some sunny happy news to get you through the weekend.

1. Red the Webseries is back. One the the most beloved and acclaimed lesbian/bisexual wesberies is back for a fourth season!  Mel and Liz are together but there are factors at play pushing and pulling at their relationship, including Mel’s grief over her miscarriage and a reappearance by an old flame who still has feelings for Mel. Watch the first episode for free now, and rent the entire season (2 hours of content) for $9.99.

2. It’s the summer of Hayley Kiyoko. Singer/actress/director Kiyoko is the face of Paper’s pride issue, and shares thoughts on her career, her style, and her sexuality. “I’d say my top three passions were performing, food, and girls.” Happy 20Gayteen, Hayley!

3. Assassin’s Creed Odyssey will allow you to play as a gay lady. While the big gay news of video game summit E3 may have been Ellie and The Last of Us 2, playable character Kassandra in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey also made a splash. Kassandra is giving us some major Xena vibes as she travels ancient Greece. You’ll have the chance to romance a character named Kira, who plays a major part in the story.

4. Ellen is returning to stand-up! After 15 years, lesbian icon and you’re mom’s favorite dancer, Ellen DeGeneres is hitting the road for a limited stand up tour. If you are in Seattle, San Diego or San Francisco, you are in luck.
