Five good (and gay) things that happened this week: 6/2-6/8

Another week gone by…how about some good and gay news to make it alllll better?

1. We get a first look at Wynonna Earp and an earlier release date. Entertainment Weekly scored a first look at Wynonna Earp‘s third season, and the pics are pretty great. In addition to this sneak peek, Syfy will be airing the first episode, “Blood Red and Going Down” on Monday, July 19th at 11pm EST. You can catch it again at its regular Friday slot on July 20th.

2. Sarah Paulson and Cate Blanchett get a case of the sillies on the Today Show.  Press tours can feel endless for actors, and the Ocean’s Eight tour is no exception. However, the actors are taking it in stride, especially out actress Sarah Paulson and Carol herself, Cate Blanchett, who appeared on the Today Show together and proceeded to laugh at each other the entire time and be delightfully incoherent with the giggles.

3. The Bold Type premiere gets an early release on Hulu. The Bold Type is back for its sophomore season, and the premiere is available a week early for Hulu subscribers. We won’t discuss the episode yet until everyone has a chance to see it, but it’s wonderful and honest, just as The Bold Type has proven to be.

4. The Sense8 movie is out! While fans would have loved another season, the movie length finale of Sense8 is finally here. Enjoy it over the weekend, and we’ll have a solo piece about the film early next week.

5. Hearts Beat Loud a must-see good summer movie starring two out actress, comes out this weekend. Kiersey Clemons and Sasha Lane, both out actress (Clemons identifies as bisexual, and Lane as gay) star in this sweet indie film about a father-daughter band, and their individual loves and struggles. Clemons’ Sam is heading to college across the country, but meets artist Rose (Lane) and the two have a summer romance.
