Five good and gay things that happened this week: 6/15-6/21

Happy Friday and first day of summer!

Red the Series returns for the fifth season. This steamy and intense series out of Brazil is back and so are leading ladies Mel and Liz. The new season picks up a year after the two have broken up, and we watch them deal with the aftermath in their own ways. We also get to see much more of Liz and Mel’s exes, Rafa and Victoria, which is a very pleasant surprise.

Cara Delevingne and Ashley Benson make their relationship Instagram official. The two actors have been dating for a year, but for the first time, the two officially acknowledged their relationship publicly. Happy Pride, ladies.

GLOW Season Three trailer is here. The gorgeous ladies of wrestling move to Las Vegas and Geena Davis has joined the cast! Also there’s a hint of the continued romance between Arthi and Yolanda. The show hits Netflix again on August 9th.

A First Lady’s lesbian love affair is chronicled in a new book. Rose Cleveland, who was the sister of President Grover Cleveland, served as First Lady to the unmarried leader, and according to letters recently compiled into a book, had a nearly thirty year love affair with humanitarian Evangeline Simpson. The book, Precious and Adored: The Love Letters of Rose Cleveland and Evangeline Simpson Whipple, 1890–1918, is available now.
