Five good and gay things that happened this week: 2/22-2/28

After three awesome years, this is my last Five Good and Gay list with Bella Media Channel. Thank you for all the support over the years and I’m so glad so many of you have loved this column. Don’t worry, it’s not going anywhere. S.E. Fleenor will be your new Bella Media Channel Managing Editor, and I anticipate great things from them. So, one last time from Dana Piccoli, happy weekend and here are five good and gay things to cheer you.

Atypical is getting a fourth and final season. Congrats on breaking the 3 season Netflix curse. Now we get a full season to see the relationship between Cassie and Izzie unfold.

After showing a picture of her then fiancee in a Get to Know Your Teacher presentation, the popular teacher was suspended by the Mansfield Independent School District. A judge decided that the district was in the wrong, and teacher Stacy Bailey won her case.

Cynthia Nixon narrates a viral video all about ridiculous standards women are expected to follow. With words by Camille Rainville, Nixon narratates the sometimes NSFW video, with powerful imagery and an even more powerful message.
