Five good and gay things that happened this week: 12/14-12/20

Ho ho ho, it’s time for this week’s good and gay list. You must have been good because Santa has some goodies for us.

Megan Rapinoe will appear on The L Word Generation Q. Holy lesbian Christmas. Yes, it’s true, Rapinoe will appear as a guest on Alice’s talk show on this week’s episode of The L Word. Nice suit, Rapinoe!

Team USA figure skated Amber Glenn comes out as bisexual/pansexual. Speaking of sports figures, elite skater Glenn came out this week in an interview with the Dallas Voice. “The fear of not being accepted is a huge struggle for me,” she says. “Being perceived as [going through] ‘just a phase’ or [being] ‘indecisive’ is a common thing for bisexual/pan sexual women. I don’t want to shove my sexuality in people’s faces, but I also don’t want to hide who I am.” Glad to have you on our team, Amber.

TLC’s 90 Day Fiancé will feature a same-sex couple in the new season. For the first time in the popular reality show’s history, it will feature a queer couple. New Yorker Stephanie and Aussie Erika met on Instagram, but Stephanie isn’t out to her parents and making things more challenging, she has a bone marrow disorder that can make flying to see Erika a very dangerous health situation for her. The new season begins February 23 at 8pm ET/PT.

Season Four of The Bold Type has its first trailer! Big changes are afoot at Scarlet Magazine. What will become of our plucky trio? And yes, thankfully, Adena is still in the picture.

Star Wars The Rise of Skywalker features a kiss between two women. So it’s not the Poe/Finn romance fans have been hoping for, but two women in the Resistance share a kiss in the new film.

Awesome set of news this week. Correction: *Adina* is spelled as **Adena** Finally 90 Day Fiance has some queerness which is a good and bad thing as it will show them being equally as messed up as everyone else. The Bold Type was on my naughty list for how they treated Adena in S2, but it looks like things have turned around, can’t wait for S4. And of course The L Word, my Sundays are even better.
