There’s a new queer dating app in town: meet Lex. If you’ve been following the queer Personals page on Instagram, then you’ve seen the initial incarnation of Lex. Founded by Kelly Rakowski, the Lex app harkens back to the old On Our Backs personals. Will you be trying it?

Janelle Monáe speaks with the New Yorker about growing up as a black queer woman, and her story is turned into an animated short. This is a very cool video, so you’ll want to check it out if you are a Monáe fan.

Happy 95th birthday to lesbian activist, Phyllis Lyon! It’s a big one for the pioneering activist who along with partner, then wife, Del Martin, began The Daughters of Bilitis in 1955 and has been fighting for equal rights ever since.

The new Gossip Girl reboot will feature a much more diverse cast, including queer characters. While it feels a little soon for a reboot, everything old is new again in Hollywood. It sound promising at least. XoXo, Gossip Girl
