If you are a podcast lover, then you probably already know about Alice Isn’t Dead, a narrative horror podcast by the creators of Welcome to Nightvale. If you haven’t heard of this gem of a series, then I have good news for you: you have two full seasons to enjoy and catch up on. Hurry up, I’ll wait for you.
All caught up? Fabulous, because Alice Isn’t Dead is back for a third and final season. The podcast stars out actress Jasika Nicole (doing some outstanding heavy lifting as the main narrator) as Keisha, a truck driver who is on the search for her wife, Alice, who may or not be dead. As Keisha travels the country in search of answers, she falls deeper and deeper into a frightening mystery involving a crooked corporation named Bay & Creek Shipping and ghastly and dangerous humanoids known as “Thistlemen” who haunt the highways and byways, ready to strike and kill whoever gets in their way.
We know from the end of Season 2 that Alice is indeed alive and has been trying to destroy the Thistlemen and Bay & Creek Shipping from the inside. In order to do so and attempt to protect her wife, she had to disappear. Season 3 brings us more of Alice’s perspective right from the get go with the minisode, “Mérida, Yucatán.” I recently spoke with Jasika (check back soon for our interview) and she told me we’ll be hearing more of Alice’s point of view as the season cruises towards a conclusion.
In the meanwhile, if you love podcasts that tell incredible stories, you won’t want to miss Alice Isn’t Dead. You’ll find the podcast on multiple platforms, including Spotify and iTunes.
